The Beginning

On September 29, 2009, our 7th wedding anniversary, we made the first step along our path to adoption.  After filling out all the necessary paperwork and completing our homestudy we are officially a waiting family.  There is still much for us to do as we continue to prepare ourselves for this beautiful journey.  I wanted to start this to share all that I am learning about adoption.  We have chosen to do an open adoption which is a pretty new concept to many and not understood by most.  "Education is learning what you didn't even know you didn't know." 

I also thought it might be nice to have updates for those who are curious.  So come along with us on our family journey.
