Oh well . . .

If there is anyone still following this, I think our journey has come to an end. It was quite an experience, but right now all hands are pointing to them choosing to parent instead of placing baby Tosh with us. We always knew it was a possibility. It's just too bad that it happened like this. It was our last chance before we have to move so this is the end for now. I'll just enjoy being the mom of two big boys that hardly need me. I have plenty of time to pursue my photography and running. I will be doing a marathon in October in Denver with my sis-in-law Mags and then after that I'll start training for some sprint Triathalons. I just need to learn how to swim first. Evan was pretty bummed and I need to pack up all the baby stuff I got out so I don't tear up every time I see it. I guess they haven't said a definite no but with what they are thinking and saying now, once they hold the little guy they won't be able to let him go. Anyway, that's all for now. . .

One more month

Tomorrow (the 12th) is a pretty exciting day. Not only because it's E's birthday but because I get to hear little T's heartbeat. I'll be driving up to attend a Dr.'s apt. with G and I'm so excited! It also marks the one month mark until his due date.

We've been able to spend some more time with G & S and it's been wonderful.  We met them at the zoo and spent the day enjoying the animals in the gorgeous weather.  It was the first time they were able to meet Evan and it's crazy how natural it is. They are just part of the family already.  We went out for dinner afterward and chatted for a bit. They told us that they would like T's middle name to be William. At one point we had mentioned that we had chosen Owen William for a boy name, so they thought it would be nice to use the William. That way his name ties both families together. They are so sweet and it sounds like a real good name for the little guy.

I went up last week by myself and met with G. She and I just sat at the Starbucks and chatted for a bit. I surprised her by taking her to get a pedicure. Her little piggy's are having some problems with swelling and being rather uncomfortable. It was so great just relaxing together and chatting about everything.  When we were doing all of our learning and reading about open adoption we came to see the wonderful blessings that come from it for everyone involved.  We decided it was something we would really like to do, but we prepared for the most difficult situation. However, we have ended up with the most wonderful situation. I can't say enough about how much I like G & S. We got so lucky!!!

So, things are still going great and we're just getting things ready around here to welcome the little boy into our home.  People have asked if I'm worried that they will change their mind. It is so clear to me that G &S love this little boy and want what's best for him.  I have come to love them both so much that I support them in whatever decision they make.  When we were chatting the other day she said she knows that placing him for adoption is the best thing for him, especially with us, but that it's going to be so hard. It definitely is. What a day of emotions it will be.  For now, I'm looking forward to hearing his little heart tomorrow.
